We all have a calling in life and I truly believe I have found mine. I have been working with students for over 24 years in multiple roles. My goal is to tailor an educational plan for your child to prepare them for the future. Every child is able to reach their potential with the right guidance and preparation.
My name is Joe Stagliano. I have been providing 1-on-1 personalized tutoring for the past year through the Empowerment Scholarship Act (ESA). This opportunity provides your child with a unique learning experience tailored to their individual needs. Over the course of my career I have earned two masters degrees in the field of education.
In addition, I hold a current teaching certificate in the areas of educational administration, special education, and general education with a background as an ELL coordinator. I have maintained my fingerprint clearance /background card. I tutor in the areas of reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. I am a back to basics instructor. Parents want their children to grow into life long learners, but the current educational system has not always met each students' individual needs. We need to think differently when the school system is no longer a fit for a child. In Arizona, the state offers a wonderful opportunity to parents by providing funds that would have otherwise been allocated to the school district or charter school for the student. The Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) is funded by state tax dollars to provide options for students who qualify. Contact me to share information about the program and your options as a parent.

Reading is a fundamental skill students need to navigate society. My goal is to focus on teaching phonemic concepts until mastery is achieved. Each child learns at their own pace. Reading assessments provide a good baseline when determining your child's skill level. With a solid understanding of your child's abilities I am able to personalized a reading program designed to meet their individual needs. As they grow as fluent readers high interest topics will be covered to ensure they are comprehending what they read. Reading is fun if we focus on interests of the child.

Writing for a purpose for a specific audience can be meaningful and have its rewards. Writing has become a lost art with advancement in technology. Students will be prepared to communicate effectively through the written language to a variety of audiences.
